Associate IT Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Associate IT Infrastructure Engineer will support Sumerge’s infrastructure team by assisting in the design, deployment, and maintenance of servers, applications, and network services. This entry‑level position offers exposure to both on‑premise and cloud environments, enabling you to build a solid foundation in system administration, cloud platforms, and network management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level IT support and troubleshoot issues for end‑users.
• Assist with daily operations of the IT infrastructure, including hardware and software installation.
• Help deploy and configure servers, applications, and cloud resources.
• Apply approved updates and patches to desktops and laptops.
• Monitor devices for vulnerabilities and ensure security best practices are followed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and asset lifecycle.

Required profile

• 0–1 years of relevant experience in IT or a related field.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
• Introductory experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a willingness to learn.
