Atlassian Engineer – Associate / Senior Associate

About the role

We are looking for Associate and Senior Associate Atlassian Engineers to join our growing team in Cairo. You will design, implement and support Atlassian Cloud and Data Center solutions, focusing on Jira Service Management (ITSM), Confluence and related automation and migration projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Atlassian Cloud and Data Center solutions, especially Jira Service Management use cases.
• Lead ITSM implementations in JSM, covering incident, problem, change, request and asset management.
• Configure Jira projects, workflows and manage Confluence spaces, templates and permissions.
• Implement and maintain Assets/Insight (CMDB) configurations and integrations.
• Develop automations, scripts and API‑based integrations with third‑party systems.
• Perform large‑scale cloud migrations for Jira and Confluence, including assessments and post‑migration optimisation.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to performance, security, integrations and user experience.
• Support daily operational tickets and service requests while adhering to Atlassian best practices.
• Collaborate with global engineers, developers, architects and project managers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, documentation and knowledge sharing within the Atlassian practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in application support, Atlassian administration or development (more for Senior Associates).
• Strong communication, stakeholder‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence.
• Implementation of ITSM solutions in JSM.
• Experience with Assets/Insight, Atlassian REST APIs, Forge and scripting/automation tools.
• Cloud migration experience (DC‑to‑Cloud, Cloud‑to‑Cloud).
• Solid understanding of ITIL concepts and Agile methodologies.
