Backend Tech Lead

About the role

lo.labeauty is seeking a Backend Tech Lead to drive the design and delivery of scalable backend solutions for its premium beauty and wellness retail platform. This full‑time hybrid role is based in New Cairo and offers partial work‑from‑home flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of backend developers to design, implement, and maintain high‑performance APIs.
• Define and evolve system architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate closely with front‑end engineers, product owners, and DevOps teams.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical debt.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading backend development projects.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API design.
• Ability to mentor and manage a diverse engineering team.
• Experience in the retail or e‑commerce sector is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
