BIM Developer

About the role

MAX360 is looking for an innovative BIM Developer to join its global team. You will create custom automation tools, develop scripts, and optimise BIM workflows across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, bridging engineering practice with software development and data science.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Dynamo scripts and Revit add‑ins using Python and C#.
• Automate repetitive BIM tasks such as model setup, batch processing, data extraction, and quality control.
• Connect Revit models to external databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for bi‑directional data exchange.
• Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards to monitor project health, model metrics and coordination progress.
• Explore AI‑driven workflows and generative design for geometry optimisation and automated clash resolution.
• Collaborate with coordination and drafting teams to identify bottlenecks and deliver tailored technological solutions.
• Manage complex BIM data formats (JSON, XML, IFC) to support material schedules and lifecycle management.
• Provide technical support, documentation and training on new tools and workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of BIM coordination experience with a focus on automation and tool development.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across global teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Dynamo visual programming and custom node creation.
• Proficiency in Python, C# and the Revit API.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as PowerBI.
• Familiarity with BIM data formats: JSON, XML, IFC.
