BIM Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Kemet Corporation is looking for a BIM Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Heliopolis, Cairo. You will be responsible for creating and coordinating BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, ensuring they meet project and construction standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop BIM mechanical models using Autodesk Revit for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Prepare detailed and accurate shop drawings for mechanical installations.
• Coordinate with site teams and multidisciplinary disciplines to align project deliverables.
• Review and update BIM models according to project specifications and standards.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks.
• Support project delivery through technical problem‑solving and compliance checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑4 years of experience in mechanical systems design and BIM coordination.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit; Navisworks experience preferred.
• Experience preparing mechanical shop drawings.
• Good understanding of BIM workflows and coordination processes.
