Busway Systems Design Engineer II

About the role

The Busway Systems Design Engineer II will lead the mechanical design and delivery of data‑center cooling infrastructure for Schneider Electric projects in New Cairo, ensuring high availability, energy efficiency and compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of HVAC, chilled water, ventilation and advanced cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling, free cooling, containment).
• Perform load calculations, airflow analysis and thermal modeling to optimize cooling strategies.
• Review and approve engineering designs, specifications and calculations, acting as SME for mission‑critical facilities.
• Support the full project lifecycle from tender design through commissioning, including vendor submittal reviews and on‑site technical support.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans and manage project schedules, budgets and resources.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders, providing clear communication and conflict resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15–20 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and complex project delivery.
• Excellent command of English and strong teamwork orientation.
• Professional certifications such as CSM, ACP or PMP are a plus.
• Proven ability to adapt to change and continuously learn.
