Cash & Voucher Assistance Officer – Gaza Response

About the role

The Cash & Voucher Assistance Officer will lead a team of CVA coordinators and volunteers to deliver timely cash and voucher support to children, youth and families affected by the Gaza emergency. Based in Cairo (with activities also in Alexandria), the role works closely with technical, MEAL, finance and safeguarding teams to ensure high‑quality implementation across multiple governorates.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead feasibility, risk, market and vulnerability assessments in line with SC standards.
• Coordinate with SC thematic areas and external agencies to document assessment findings and disaggregate children’s needs.
• Develop CVA sector plans, master budgets and contribute to overall response objectives.
• Oversee revisions and implementation of CVA sector plans, focusing on emerging risks, protection of children and caregivers, and referral pathways.
• Supervise CVA coordinators and volunteers, ensuring compliance with safeguarding level 3 requirements.
• Monitor cash‑transfer processes, ensure accurate reporting and represent the programme in coordination forums.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in cash and voucher assistance or humanitarian programme operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead assessments and manage multi‑partner coordination.
• Understanding of child safeguarding standards (Level 3 contact).
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies.
