Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Semiconductor & IC Design

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will lead and optimise day‑to‑day operational functions to support strategic growth in the semiconductor and IC design industry. Reporting to the CEO, the COO ensures operational excellence across engineering, project delivery, resource management and organisational scalability while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and executive team to translate corporate strategy into actionable operational plans and measurable objectives.
• Oversee daily operations, establishing governance models, performance standards and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to ensure successful project execution, resource allocation, capacity planning and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor organisational performance through KPIs, dashboards and operational metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations and industry standards, managing operational risks and resilience.
• Represent operations in executive meetings, strengthening cross‑functional communication and alignment with customers, partners and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related engineering field; MBA or postgraduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 17 + years of experience in operations, engineering management or executive leadership roles.
• Proven experience in semiconductor, IC design, high‑tech or engineering services industries.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large‑scale, fast‑growing organisations and drive organisational transformation.
