Civil QA/QC Manager

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor active for more than half a century in energy, marine, infrastructure and defence and security projects, is looking for a full-time Civil QA/QC Manager to join its team on a major project in Egypt. The role leads all quality assurance and quality control activities at project level.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage QA/QC activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contract requirements and company IMS procedures.
• Coordinate and supervise QC engineers, QC inspectors, document controllers and third-party testing and inspection agencies on site.
• Develop, implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan with the Regional Quality Manager and the Project Management Team.
• Ensure the Integrated Management System (IMS) is implemented across all project activities.
• Prepare, review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, audit schedules and quality documentation.
• Conduct internal audits and monitor corrective and preventive actions on non-conformances.
• Monitor quality performance and prepare periodic quality reports for management and client submission.
• Ensure testing and measuring equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on quality matters and support project handover, including final quality dossiers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in QA/QC positions, including as a QA/QC Manager, on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong experience in geotechnical works such as piles and diaphragm walls.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of international standards for civil and geotechnical works.
• Good understanding of quality management systems based on ISO 9001; certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 preferred.
• Proven experience preparing and implementing Project Quality Plans and IMS procedures.
• Leadership, coordination and communication skills, ability to work under pressure and handle multiple stakeholders.
