Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Sarmad is looking for a senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy and manage robust cloud solutions across AWS, Azure and Oracle Cloud. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure performance, security and reliability of our cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure and Oracle Cloud services.
• Apply cloud security best practices to protect data and workloads.
• Perform capacity planning and scale resources according to business demand.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise performance, availability and security of cloud resources.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other teams.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
• Strong expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
• Hands‑on experience with Linux operating systems (CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting for automation.
• In‑depth knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline; relevant certifications preferred.
