Cloud Infrastructure SME Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to support delivery of data and analytics platforms. The role is hands‑on, delivery‑focused and requires strong technical capability across Linux, containers and cloud data services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure deployments including compute, storage, networking and data services.
• Build, configure and operate Kubernetes‑based platforms.
• Support data processing workloads using Azure Databricks and AWS EMR.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure Pipelines.
• Perform Linux administration, scripting and automation using Bash.
• Support PostgreSQL deployments, configuration and performance tuning.
• Assist with incident resolution, recovery activities and root‑cause analysis.
• Review technical designs to ensure scalability, security and resilience.
• Collaborate with data engineers and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and internal capability development.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Linux‑based platforms and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes deployment and operations.
• Experience supporting Azure Databricks and/or AWS EMR data platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, preferably Azure Pipelines.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL in delivery or operations.
• Exposure to Azure and/or AWS cloud environments for data‑intensive workloads.
• Understanding of availability, recovery and operational resilience concepts.
• Strong communication skills for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Consulting or client‑facing delivery experience.
