Consultant for NCD Country Capacity Survey 2026

About the role

The World Health Organization is seeking an external consultant to lead the 2026 round of the Non‑Communicable Diseases (NCD) Country Capacity Survey for Egypt. The consultant will apply WHO standard tools to collect, validate, and analyse data, and will update regional advocacy materials with the latest surveillance guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the 2026 NCD Country Capacity Survey in Egypt using WHO‑approved methodologies.
• Perform data validation, analysis, and interpretation of survey results.
• Prepare concise analytical summaries and reports for WHO regional offices.
• Update surveillance advocacy materials to reflect new WHO facility‑based guidance across primary, secondary, and tertiary care levels.
• Coordinate remotely with WHO regional units and national stakeholders to ensure data quality and timely delivery.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, health systems research or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience conducting large‑scale health surveys or capacity assessments.
• Familiarity with WHO NCD monitoring frameworks and surveillance pillars.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with WHO data collection and validation tools.
• Experience in statistical analysis and summarising health data.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
