Cook II – Food Preparation Specialist

About the role

The Cook II will join the culinary team at a Sheraton hotel in Cairo, preparing a wide range of dishes while adhering to quality, safety and presentation standards. This full‑time, on‑site position supports both hot and cold food production for guests and events.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and measuring.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation checklists.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test and monitor food for proper doneness and temperature.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain a clean, disinfected kitchen environment.
• Follow company safety policies, report hazards, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
