Cost Accountant – Full Time (On-site)

About the role

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for handling end‑to‑end accounting tasks, from data entry to the preparation of financial reports. This role provides accurate financial information to management, supporting decision‑making and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
• Document financial transactions through accurate data entry.
• Analyse accounting options and recommend financial actions.
• Produce balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
• Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions.
• Develop and recommend accounting policies and procedures to maintain internal controls.
• Reconcile discrepancies by collecting and analysing account data.
• Secure financial information by performing database backups and following internal controls.
• Prepare payment requests after verifying supporting documentation.
• Research and interpret accounting policies to answer procedural questions.
• Monitor compliance with financial legislation and advise management on required actions.
• Compile special financial reports by analysing trends and summarising data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Capability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using accounting systems for data entry and reporting.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
