Cost Control Team Leader

About the role

The Cost Control Team Leader will oversee cost control activities across assigned construction projects, ensuring accurate monitoring, reporting and forecasting in line with Innovo Build Egypt’s financial objectives. The role supports the Cost Control Manager and guides junior engineers to maintain rigorous cost tracking and performance analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
• Review and verify cost reports, commitments, expenditures and forecasts.
• Coordinate with project management, planning and procurement teams to validate cost data against project progress.
• Analyze cost variances and recommend actions to maintain cost efficiency.
• Consolidate monthly cost control reports, cash‑flow statements and performance indicators.
• Support development and maintenance of cost breakdown structures, coding systems and cost databases.
• Participate in project reviews, providing input on financial performance and cost trends.
• Ensure accurate recording of actual costs, commitments and accruals per company policy.
• Assist in preparing cost‑to‑complete forecasts and validate site productivity reports.
• Train and support junior cost control engineers to ensure data accuracy and procedural compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related non‑MEP discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of cost control experience in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and project cost control principles.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and accountability in financial reporting.
• Proficient in English.
