Quantity Surveyor

Key responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
• Perform quantity take‑offs for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems.
• Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and material quantities.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and prepare comparison sheets.
• Review mechanical subcontractors’ interim payment applications.
• Prepare and assess variation orders, additional works, and claims.
• Coordinate with technical office, procurement, planning, and site teams.
• Monitor project quantities and costs against the approved budget.
• Prepare periodic cost and quantity reports and maintain accurate records of measurements, variations, and payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant quantity surveying experience.
• Previous experience within contracting companies.
• Experience working on GCC projects.
• Strong knowledge of quantity take‑offs, BOQs, cost estimation, and payment certificates.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Good command of English and strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
