Costing Manager

About the role

EVA Pharma is seeking a Costing Manager to lead its costing function across a large, multi‑site manufacturing environment. You will be the primary authority on product costing, delivering accurate cost data, variance analysis and profitability insights to support strategic pricing and investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end product costing processes, including standards, BOMs and routings across all plants.
• Design and continuously improve costing models, allocation methodologies and cost policies.
• Analyse material, labour and overhead variances and partner with Operations to implement cost‑improvement actions.
• Oversee monthly cost closing, inventory valuation and COGM/COGS calculations with strong internal controls.
• Provide cost and profitability analyses for pricing, tenders, new product launches and senior‑management decisions.
• Drive cost‑optimization, productivity and margin‑improvement initiatives, quantifying and tracking financial benefits.
• Develop, monitor and report key operational and supply‑chain financial KPIs to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to align inventory levels, costing assumptions and working‑capital targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; postgraduate degree is a plus.
• CMA, CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance with a strong focus on costing in large‑scale manufacturing (pharma or FMCG preferred).
• Proven ability to lead and develop a costing or finance team and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in product/standard costing, variance analysis and inventory valuation.
• Hands‑on experience with integrated ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel and Business Intelligence tools for cost modelling and reporting.
