Credit Controller – Finance Department

About the role

The Credit Controller will join Mapei's Finance Department to manage customer collections, control overdue accounts and reduce credit risk. You will work closely with the sales team to provide suitable credit facilities for eligible customers while ensuring collection targets are met in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate credit control activities to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
• Evaluate customers’ creditworthiness and recommend appropriate credit facilities.
• Manage overdue accounts and resolve escalated collection issues.
• Approve and follow up on credit notes, account reconciliations, and invoice‑related queries.
• Liaise with customers, sales teams and internal departments to resolve credit control matters.
• Maintain accurate credit control data and prepare regular collection and performance reports.
• Monitor collection performance against targets and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, collections or finance operations.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer management skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage priorities effectively.
