Customer Service Engineer – Glass Containers

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Engineer to provide technical support for glass container performance and quality, acting as the primary liaison between Middle East Glass and its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to glass defects, breakage, dimensional issues, and packaging.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis using tools such as 8D, Fishbone Diagram, 5 Why and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Visit customer sites to assess filling line performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Production, Sales and R&D teams to ensure issues are addressed.
• Review customer specifications to confirm product compliance with technical requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, complaint analyses and performance summaries, and monitor quality KPIs for trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, packaging or technical customer service; experience with glass production is a plus.
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or FSSC 22000 is advantageous.

Required skills

• Root‑cause analysis techniques (8D, Fishbone Diagram, 5 Why).
• Statistical process control (SPC) and Pareto analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with ERP and quality‑management software.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation and deliver training.
