Customer Service Representative – HSBC Call Centre

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join HSBC’s UK Contact Centre as Customer Service Representatives. In this role you will handle inbound calls from HSBC customers, providing courteous assistance and aiming to resolve queries on the first contact.

Key responsibilities

• Answer customer calls politely, instilling confidence and delivering promised service.
• Resolve customer issues at first contact whenever possible and know when to escalate.
• Analyse customer needs and promote appropriate value‑added products and services.
• Maintain high standards of internal control, compliance with Group operational risk and SOX requirements.
• Generate customer loyalty through strong product knowledge and excellent service.
• Act as a role model for HSBC Group values (Open, Connected, Dependable) and support team diversity.

Required profile

• University graduate in any discipline.
• Fluent in the language(s) required for the process.
• Willingness to work flexible shifting schedules in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Customer‑centric attitude, strong communication skills, patience and empathy.
• Open to feedback, development and teamwork.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.

Required skills

• Proficiency with personal computers.
• Ability to use basic software packages and specialised call‑centre applications.
