Data Integration Specialist / Analyst (Senior)

About the role

The Data Integration Specialist/Analyst will design, develop, test and support ETL/ELT processes that move data from source systems into a data warehouse and data marts. The role demands a deep understanding of data‑warehouse architecture and the ability to meet service‑level agreements for data timeliness.

Key responsibilities

• Capture ETL requirements from business and technical stakeholders.
• Design, develop, test, and support extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Ensure ETL processes meet defined service‑level agreements for frequency and latency.
• Analyze and optimise existing solutions, including physical model optimisation and query tuning.
• Mentor junior team members on data‑integration best practices.
• Improve query and solution performance and optimise the physical data model.
• Produce project deliverable documentation.
• Utilise online data‑processing tools effectively.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of enterprise relational databases such as Teradata, Oracle, or IBM DB2.
• Professional experience with at least two ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, ODI, SAS DI).
• Proficient in SQL and shell scripting.
• Experience delivering large‑scale ETL solutions for enterprise customers.
• Familiarity with Hadoop environments and MPP systems (Teradata) is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred); master’s degree or certifications are a plus.
• Banking domain experience is preferred.
