Data Scientist II (FinTech)

About the role

As a Data Scientist II at Klivvr, you will lead end‑to‑end data science initiatives that power fintech products and influence key business decisions across the region. You will work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and risk teams to turn ambiguous, high‑stakes problems into production‑grade machine‑learning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own statistical and ML models for customer segmentation, credit scoring, and fraud detection from problem definition through deployment.
• Translate vague business questions into well‑scoped analytical projects with measurable impact.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ship models to production and monitor their performance over time.
• Analyze user behavior and transaction data to uncover trends and growth opportunities.
• Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to internal data‑science frameworks, tooling, and best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on data‑science or applied ML experience, including at least one model taken from concept to production.
• Strong proficiency in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit‑learn) and SQL.
• Solid grounding in statistics, probability, and core machine‑learning methods.
• Experience with large‑scale datasets on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.
• Fintech or consumer‑finance background is a plus, especially in credit or fraud domains.
