Deputy IT Manager for Infrastructure

About the role

The Deputy IT Manager for Infrastructure will support Nile University by designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust enterprise IT environment. Working under senior management, the role ensures that hardware, software, and communication components meet current and future business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with users and management to assess information needs and define appropriate solutions.
• Research, plan, and design enterprise hardware, operating systems, applications, and communication components.
• Analyze and recommend hardware and software requirements for existing and future services.
• Prepare technical requirements, scope of work reports, and related documentation for infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with external vendors for acquisition, support, and maintenance of IT hardware and software.
• Ensure availability, continuity, and security of systems; monitor logs and performance metrics.
• Develop operational procedures, user manuals, and backup/restore processes in line with university policy.
• Manage change requests and perform system changes following standard procedures.
• Report infrastructure status to senior management and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience consulting with users and management on IT solutions.
• Ability to prepare detailed technical documentation and scope of work.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors for hardware and software services.
• Strong analytical skills to assess hardware, software, and performance requirements.
• Capability to manage change requests and maintain system security and continuity.
