Derivatives and Molasses Engineer

About the role

Lesaffre Egypt for yeast industries, a joint-stock company producing baking yeasts, yeast derivatives and yeast extracts, is hiring a Derivatives and Molasses Engineer in An Nubariyah, Egypt. The role sits within the Derivatives & Molasses team and reports to the Derivatives & Molasses Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Sales of Derivatives (CMS and yeast waste): meet or exceed volume and margin targets while keeping production running.
• Develop new market opportunities and customer accounts, especially in construction and paper industries.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports accurately and on time.
• Manage CMS logistics and deliveries to customers, and increase the number of customers, including distributors and major industrial companies.
• Resolve customer problems and complaints quickly to maximise satisfaction.
• Supply management: report on customer needs, problems, interests, competitors' activities and potential for new products and services.
• Molasses logistics: plan and coordinate transportation, ensure timely delivery and shipment, and work with Production, Quality and Security to guarantee compliant deliveries.
• Coordinate with contractors and truck drivers to keep operations smooth and on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commodity sales, B2C and B2B (agribusiness preferred).
