DevOps Engineer – CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments for Java‑based applications and web servers. The role ensures high availability, scalability and automation across development and production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines for Java applications.
• Automate build, test and deployment processes and containerise applications using Docker.
• Deploy and operate orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (including scaling and troubleshooting).
• Administer and optimise web servers (Apache, IIS) and Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss).
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code with tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, logs and metrics using Prometheus, Grafana and ELK, and set up alerting.
• Troubleshoot deployment, performance and environment issues.
• Enforce security best practices across pipelines and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, site reliability or system engineering roles.
• Proven ability to collaborate with development, QA and infrastructure teams.
