DevOps Lead

About the role

Geidea is seeking a DevOps Lead to head its DevOps team. The role will design, implement and maintain scalable, secure and highly‑available cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, driving automation and reliability across the software delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage the DevOps team, defining best practices and ensuring operational standards.
• Design, deploy and operate AWS‑based infrastructure, guaranteeing high availability and performance.
• Manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, and implement infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, automating provisioning, deployment and monitoring.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and observability with Grafana, Prometheus and New Relic, and create dashboards for proactive incident response.
• Integrate security controls and DevSecOps practices, managing secrets with HashiCorp Vault and ensuring compliance.
• Coordinate with development, QA, security and infrastructure teams and oversee incident response and post‑mortem reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and operating production‑grade AWS environments.
• Strong background in Linux systems and scripting.
