Digital Solutions Volunteer

About the role

The World Food Programme is looking for a motivated Digital Solutions Volunteer to support its IT team. This three‑month unpaid assignment focuses on improving productivity through business process automation, assisting with the development, testing, maintenance, and implementation of IT solutions, and providing user support and training.

Key responsibilities

• Support the installation, configuration and customization of IT systems in line with WFP standards.
• Assist with system releases and early‑support activities to help users adopt new solutions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation for system maintenance.
• Research and propose ideas for enhancing business processes and office automation.
• Write and maintain program code for IT solutions and automation projects.
• Support unit and integration testing of new or updated code to ensure requirements are met.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Strong interest in IT systems, automation and humanitarian work.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
