Director of Marketing & Communication (Egyptians Only)

About the role

Kempinski Palace Cairo is looking for a Director of Marketing & Communication, open only to Egyptian nationals. The Director assists the Director of Sales & Marketing in positioning and promoting the hotel and its outlets as market leaders while protecting the Kempinski brand. The role covers strategy, budget, content, photography, videography, advertising and brand guardianship.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and agree the hotel marketing plan with the Director of Sales & Marketing, forecast ROI and track results of all marketing initiatives
• Create and run promotions, packages and multi-channel campaigns, liaising with agencies and reviewing competitor analysis
• Manage the marketing budget and oversee content for offline and online channels, including the brand website, social media and the KENT newsletter
• Plan and supervise photo shoots and videography, maintain picture storage systems and keep all collateral and advertising under the property's control
• Act as brand guardian with the GM and Director of Sales & Marketing, ensuring all communications follow Kempinski brand guidelines
• Lead the monthly marketing meeting, coordinate with internal and external partners, prepare monthly reports and maintain the guest database
• Take part in Kempinski talent development, train the team and recruit and interview candidates for the department

Required profile

• Egyptian nationality and eligibility for a working permit in the country of hire
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality or marketing
• 6-8 years of experience in a hotel marketing department or in a media agency
• Excellent spoken and written Arabic and English; an additional language is beneficial
• Identifies with Kempinski core values and shows leadership, creativity, analytical thinking and decision-making skills

Required skills

• Understanding of marketing principles, copywriting and campaign management
• Project management and contract negotiation experience
• Microsoft Office; Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are a plus
