Director of Systems & MIS

About the role

The Director of Systems & MIS will lead the Management Information Services function for a hospitality cluster in Sharm El Sheikh. Reporting to senior hotel management, you will shape technology strategy, oversee implementation of MIS applications, and ensure reliable, secure operations across all properties.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive MIS technology plans aligned with cluster objectives.
• Coordinate and execute new MIS application installations, upgrades, and problem‑resolution communications.
• Lead project work for MIS roll‑outs, providing status reports and cost‑model analyses.
• Deliver end‑user support to hotel staff and business centers, including training and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate technology life‑cycles, certify software for property use, and manage disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, information security standards, and vendor contracts.
• Maintain secure server environments, perform regular backups, and conduct hardware/software inventories.
• Consult with property teams on all IT matters and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in IT, Computer Science or related field with 4 years relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 2 years experience.
• Certified trainer preferred.
• Proven experience managing IT projects and leading technical teams in a hospitality environment.
