Electrical Design Manager

About the role

The Electrical Design Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Asyut, Egypt, responsible for leading and coordinating electrical design activities across building and infrastructure projects. Daily tasks include managing the electrical design team, reviewing and approving drawings and calculations, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical design for building and infrastructure projects.
• Manage the electrical design team and approve drawings and calculations.
• Ensure designs meet local and international electrical codes and client specifications.
• Oversee power distribution, lighting, low‑current, and other electrical system development.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams for integrated solutions.
• Support project planning, participate in design reviews, and address technical queries.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to maintain quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in electrical design for buildings and infrastructure, including power distribution, lighting, and low‑current systems.
• Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant calculation software, plus familiarity with local and international codes.
• Proven experience leading design teams, coordinating multidisciplinary projects, and managing design schedules.
• Project management skills aligned with ISO 9001:2015 principles, including planning, risk identification, and quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering; professional certifications are a plus.
• Prior consultancy experience and knowledge of the Egyptian market are preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in Asyut with strong problem‑solving and continuous development mindset.
