Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation Engineer

About the role

Lesaffre Egypt for Yeast Industries, a joint-stock company producing baking yeasts and yeast extracts, is looking for an Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation Engineer in Nubariyah. The role supervises automation engineers and electrical technicians and covers electrical maintenance, commissioning and reporting. It reports to the Maintenance EI & A Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise automation engineers and electrical technicians on repairs, improvements and troubleshooting.
• Review daily maintenance inspection reports and work orders, classifying them as corrective or preventive maintenance so a work plan can be drawn up.
• Follow up preventive electrical maintenance tasks, conduct and follow up service visits, and attend technical meetings.
• Troubleshoot faults immediately, fix equipment breakdowns and arrange replacements.
• Prepare major intervention reports and monthly/weekly power consumption reports.
• Supervise electrical, instrumentation and automation investment and commissioning, and schedule periodic maintenance of all electrical equipment, components and installations.
• Follow up electrical spare parts balance.
• Contribute to and organise electrical and automation commissioning when new equipment is installed or existing equipment is replaced, and take part in the FAT, SAT and commissioning phases.
• Supervise the vacation planning of engineers and technicians to ensure smooth working conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
• 4-5 years of technical experience in electrical maintenance in the industrial sector.
• FMCG experience preferred; experience in a multinational company is a plus.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of electrical power systems and control systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of local safety rules, regulations and electrical maintenance operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage several priorities under tight deadlines.
• Deep knowledge of MV switchgears, MV protection, VSDs and servo drives.
• Microsoft software and SAP Plus.
