Electrical Site Engineer – Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant

About the role

System Technique is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Engineer to lead the electrical installation and commissioning activities on water and wastewater treatment plant projects in Giza. The role involves ensuring all works comply with drawings, specifications and relevant codes while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute electrical installations on water/wastewater treatment plant sites.
• Install, test, commission, and troubleshoot water pump control panels and MCC systems.
• Oversee MV/LV power and control cable termination, switchgear, and distribution panel installation.
• Coordinate with consultants and other engineering disciplines to resolve site issues and prevent clashes.
• Prepare and submit technical documents such as Inspection Requests, Method Statements, Material Submittals, RFIs, and progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
• Lead site technicians and subcontractors to maintain schedule and quality standards.
• Support testing and commissioning to achieve full operational readiness of electrical and pump control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on site experience in the water and wastewater treatment sector.
• Proven experience with water pump control panels, installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Familiarity with ETAP (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, MCC panels, switchgear, and cable installation/termination.
• Experience in testing, commissioning and troubleshooting electrical and pump control systems.
• Understanding of relevant codes, standards and safety regulations.
