English Second Language Instructor (Full-time, Giza)

About the role

The SYE English Community in Giza is seeking a full-time English Second Language Instructor to join its dynamic team. You will deliver interactive lessons that develop learners’ speaking, listening, reading and writing abilities across multiple proficiency levels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to diverse learner needs.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and participate in workshops and community activities.

Required profile

• Strong instructional skills in English teaching and TEFL/TESOL methodologies.
• Experience or training in curriculum development and lesson-plan design.
• Solid knowledge of linguistics to explain grammar, pronunciation and language structure.
• Excellent spoken and written English with the ability to model natural language use.
• Relevant certification (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) or a degree in English, Education, Linguistics or a related field.
• Effective classroom management, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to work on-site in Giza on a consistent full-time schedule.
