English Teacher (Upper Primary/Lower Secondary)

About the role

Scholars International Language School is looking to hire an English teacher for upper primary and lower secondary students, working on site in its department. The teacher is expected to foster a love of learning and create a supportive, stimulating classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for upper primary and lower secondary students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting methods and materials to individual needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages curiosity, collaboration and creativity.
• Build strong communication and relationships with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum delivery and share best practice.
• Take part in ongoing professional development.
• Support the social and emotional development of students and promote positive behaviour and resilience.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching qualification such as QTS or PGCE for primary education.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching English in a primary or secondary school.
• Strong understanding of child development and early years educational practice.
