Environmental Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Advisor will join Apache's Health & Safety team at a field location, reporting to the EH&S Manager. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with corporate, legal and international standards while supporting safe operations across seismic, drilling and project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a compliance matrix for field operations, aligning with Apache, KPC and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance, track non‑conformities and implement corrective actions with field management.
• Manage contractor EHS performance, conduct focused audits, and ensure bridging documents are in place.
• Deliver EHS awareness training, coach staff on safety observation programs, and lead emergency scenario planning and drills.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigation, root‑cause analysis and maintain the incident database.
• Lead EHS audits, safety inspections, hygiene reviews and manage the annual audit program.
• Support risk register delivery, risk reduction controls and ensure timely closure of risks.
• Conduct inductions for visitors and new joiners, and monitor training program implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in EHS compliance, auditing and incident investigation within field operations.
• Ability to work closely with contractors, field management and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to deliver training, safety meetings and feedback.
• Experience developing compliance matrices, audit programs and emergency response plans.
