Sustainability & Environmental Manager (LEED AP)

About the role

The Sustainability & Environmental Manager will lead all sustainability and environmental management activities for a large‑scale mixed‑use development on Egypt’s North Coast. Reporting to the PMC team, the role ensures regulatory compliance, drives performance against sustainability targets and integrates green building principles throughout design, construction and operation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor sustainability strategies, environmental management plans and KPIs for the project.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, permits, standards and project‑specific requirements.
• Lead environmental monitoring, audits, inspections and corrective‑action programs.
• Coordinate with design consultants and construction teams to embed LEED and other green‑building requirements.
• Review environmental impact studies, audits, management plans and sustainability reports.
• Engage with government authorities, regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on environmental matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 12‑15 years of experience in sustainability and environmental management, preferably within a Project Management Consultancy.
• Professional certifications: LEED Accredited Professional (required), ISO 14001 EMS certification (preferred), PMP (advantage).
• Proven experience on large‑scale infrastructure, mixed‑use or mega‑projects and with LEED certification processes.
• Strong knowledge of environmental compliance, audits, reporting and EIA preparation.
