Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads daily housekeeping, recreation/health club and laundry operations for a hotel in Cairo. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained, and meet brand standards while supporting guest satisfaction and budget goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping shift activities, assign work based on room status and upcoming check‑outs.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and Engineering to communicate room readiness and maintenance needs.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens and uniforms; order stock as required.
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, report deficiencies and follow up on corrective actions.
• Manage departmental controllable expenses, monitor budgets, payroll reports and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Handle guest complaints, promote exceptional service and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in HR tasks such as staffing, accident investigations and disciplinary documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other hotel departments.
