Field Scientific Advisor - Oncology & Hematology

About the role

Amgen is hiring a Field Scientific Advisor for its Cairo region, focused on oncology and hematology. The advisor advances patient access and reliable product availability in an assigned territory by building strategic account plans, engaging healthcare professionals and answering their questions about product efficacy and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the manager to build and run territory and key account plans, review progress monthly and suggest course corrections
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across hospitals, clinics and retail settings
• Follow Amgen's compliance standards and ethical guidelines, and raise concerns about non-compliant behaviour
• Use Amgen's CRM to report customer activity and profile data accurately and on time
• Apply the Amgen Performance 4 Selling model, including call planning, pre-call preparation and post-call evaluation
• Keep product, science and compliance knowledge current through training and share best practices with the team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or (bio)medical sciences
• At least 1 year of experience in oncology and/or hematology therapy areas within a multinational company
• Basic knowledge of and experience in a hospital environment

Preferred requirements

• Knowledge of customer relationship management principles
• Exposure to interactions with different disciplines and organisational levels
• Exposure to basic project management principles
