Finance Director – Ports & Terminals

About the role

The Finance Director for Ports & Terminals will lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting activities, providing critical insights to senior leadership. This role partners with Operations, Commercial, Procurement, HR and other functions to drive financial performance and support strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting for the Ports & Terminals business.
• Provide financial analysis and business insights on EBITDA, revenue drivers, cost efficiency, capex evaluation and cash flow.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting with variance analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance, policies and procedures in line with DP World standards and local regulations.
• Oversee accounting, month‑end closing, statutory reporting, audit coordination, tax inputs and balance‑sheet integrity.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow, collections, payables and funding requirements.
• Support financial evaluation of major contracts, investment cases, capex proposals and strategic initiatives.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, government authorities and other external stakeholders.
• Oversee invoicing governance, billing accuracy and revenue‑related controls.
• Provide finance oversight for warehouse and inventory control activities.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and technical capability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; professional certifications (CPA, CA, CFA, CFP, CMA) preferred.
• MBA or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is an asset.
• 12–15 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian finance, banking, tax, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Strategic mindset with ability to improve processes and support value‑creating decisions.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with banks, auditors and government authorities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic capability preferred.
