Financial Control & Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Financial Control & Operations Coordinator will ensure accurate financial tracking and efficient logistical support for construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers and Site Coordinators, you will manage cost control, cash flow reporting, and asset coordination across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify, and consolidate project operating expenses submitted by Project Managers and Site Coordinators.
• Monitor and analyse site overhead costs, including labour, equipment, scaffolding, containers, site offices, generators, shared accommodation, banking charges, and loans.
• Review Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) for budget compliance and procedural adherence.
• Prepare weekly cash‑flow and cheque‑movement reports for each project.
• Validate contractors' payment requests and reconcile them with approved balances before processing.
• Monitor transportation activities, review transport requests, and coordinate vehicle movement schedules.
• Track site assets, scaffolding, and equipment, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to maintain accurate records of site resources and operational expenses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in cost control, finance, or operations within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction project costing, procurement processes, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical abilities with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with ERP systems is an advantage.
