Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive process improvements across the organization. The role reports to the Head of Finance and works closely with all department heads.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee ERP implementation and upgrades, especially SAP, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Streamline financial processes through automation and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Monitor financial operations to safeguard confidentiality and security according to authorization levels.
• Review departmental results, perform reconciliations, and enforce internal controls.
• Guarantee compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards, tax laws, and all financial regulations.
• Lead monthly and annual closing activities and validate financial reports before submission.
• Develop and execute audit plans, coordinate internal and external audits, and implement audit recommendations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal and regulatory changes affecting the business.
• Build finance team capabilities through training on latest accounting standards.
• Manage documentation retention, archiving, and support ministerial inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, financial control, or auditing.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, or DipIFR are a plus.
