Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the finance and accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. This senior position reports directly to senior management and supports strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Maintain internal financial controls and ensure compliance with tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide financial insights, risk analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 7+ years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in a controlling role.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA is a strong plus.
• Experience in EdTech, technology or high‑growth environments is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis capabilities.
• Solid understanding of internal controls and financial processes.
