Financial Controlling Lead

About the role

The Financial Controlling Lead will own the integrity of the company’s financial reporting and control environment as the business scales. This senior position is responsible for building a robust close, control, and reporting infrastructure that supports an investment‑ready, growth‑stage organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close, delivering accurate and timely consolidated financial statements.
• Design and enforce an internal control framework, accounting policies and approval workflows across multiple entities.
• Lead tax and audit readiness, managing relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators.
• Oversee quarterly and annual tax filing and transfer pricing across five jurisdictions.
• Build and mentor the accounting and controlling team, enhancing both technical and AI/automation capabilities.
• Drive automation of close, reconciliation and reporting processes, deploying AI tools to reduce cycle time and errors.

Required profile

• 6‑7 years of experience in controlling, audit or accounting, including a leadership role; experience in growth‑stage or scale‑up environments preferred.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent) with strong IFRS knowledge.
• Proven ownership of a full close cycle and audit, with experience establishing controls across 5+ markets.
• Advanced Excel and hands‑on ERP experience; comfortable with finance automation tooling.
• Mandatory AI literacy; hands‑on proficiency with Claude Cowork AI agents is highly preferred.
