Freelance Peer Reviewer – Nursing

About the role

We are seeking experienced nursing researchers to provide expert peer reviews for academic journals and publishers on a freelance basis. This remote role allows you to contribute to the quality of scholarly publications while maintaining flexibility in your schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity, relevance, and scientific soundness.
• Provide constructive, written feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and ethical considerations.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in nursing or a related field.
• At least two peer‑reviewed publications in the last two years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
