Front Desk Supervisor

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria is looking for a Front Desk Supervisor. The role assists the Front Office Managers in overseeing Front Desk operations and acts as the manager on duty when senior managers are not available. The hotel is a resort-style property on the Egyptian Riviera with 154 rooms, 31 suites, 30 beach suites and 6 villas, a spa, fitness center and 10 food and beverage venues.

Key responsibilities

• Direct staff and perform the duties yourself, acting as manager on duty when needed.
• Welcome and register guests, explain the accommodation and establish credit or method of payment.
• Check guests out, prepare and explain the bill.
• Respond to guest requests, adding personal recommendations while complying with Four Seasons' policies.
• Handle a large volume of keys and quote room and rate availability for current and future dates.
• Accept reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of reservations staff.
• Select and block rooms for arriving guests, pre-register individuals or groups, and escort VIPs and returning guests to their rooms.
• Work closely with the Concierge to coordinate luggage handling and follow up on guest requests.

Required profile

• 2 years of hotel experience.
• Written, spoken and reading proficiency in English.
• Strong supervisory skills and knowledge of front office tasks.
• Able to comply with upscale luxury hotel operating standards.

Required skills

• Friendly, courteous and professional manner with guests, patrons and colleagues.
• Ability to handle many keys and manage room availability.
• Handling of reservations, changes and cancellations.
