General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s general ledger, supporting month‑end and year‑end closing processes while complying with IFRS and local regulations. This role works closely with internal teams and external auditors to deliver reliable financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Saudi accounting regulations, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
• Support VAT/Zakat and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records and depreciation schedules where applicable.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Participate in process improvements and accounting system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or financial reporting.
• Professional certification (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi accounting regulations.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Odoo.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
