General Maintenance Manager

About the role

The General Maintenance Manager will lead all maintenance activities for infrastructure and assets at Soma Bay, ensuring high service quality, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction. This senior position oversees a multidisciplinary team and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all facilities.
• Oversee execution of maintenance plans covering electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, civil works, and landscaping.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Maintain relationships with Abu Soma Development Company, property owners, and contractors, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, renovations, and new developments with project teams.
• Respond promptly to homeowner requests and manage service pricing, invoicing, and financial tracking.
• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, optimize resource allocation, procurement, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies through inspections and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of facility maintenance experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven stakeholder management and SLA implementation experience.
• Fluency in English; Arabic preferred.

Required skills

• Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) knowledge
