General Manager – Luxury Hospitality

About the role

Our client, a leading hospitality owner and developer, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the pre‑opening and operational launch of a prestigious luxury resort in Hurghada, Egypt. The role involves building the hotel from the ground up, establishing operational standards and delivering a world‑class guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s pre‑opening strategy and execution.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and brand standards.
• Recruit, develop and lead the executive leadership team.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and overall financial performance.
• Drive exceptional guest satisfaction and service excellence.
• Ensure all departments are operationally ready ahead of opening.
• Build strong relationships with ownership, stakeholders and local authorities.
• Develop commercial strategies to maximise occupancy, ADR and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with legal, health & safety and operational requirements.
• Create a positive culture focused on performance, teamwork and guest experience.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a General Manager within luxury hotels or resorts.
• Proven track record delivering successful hotel pre‑openings.
• Strong experience in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
• Background with internationally recognised luxury hotel brands.
• Exceptional leadership, commercial and operational management skills.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Willingness to relocate to Hurghada, Egypt.
