German Teacher / Head of Department (AY 26-27)

About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a qualified and experienced German Teacher and Head of Department (HOD) for the academic year 26-27. The role leads the German language department, ensures high standards of teaching and curriculum development, and guides a team of teachers toward academic excellence. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the German language department, including curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Teach German language classes in a stimulating and supportive environment.
• Mentor teaching staff to improve instructional quality and professional growth.
• Develop strategies to improve student engagement and academic performance in German.
• Coordinate departmental meetings, liaise with school management and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Stay up to date with curriculum changes, educational trends and best practices in language teaching.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in German Language, Education or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching German and in a leadership role, preferably as a Head of Department.
• Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students and staff.
• Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
