Global Program Manager for Asia, Middle East & North Africa

About the role

Operation Smile is seeking a Global Program Manager to lead its surgical delivery and educational initiatives across Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. This remote position will shape programs that expand access to cleft and essential pediatric surgery while building sustainable local capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, adapt, and implement educational products and training pathways for surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, biomedical engineers, and allied health providers.
• Manage relationships with Operation Smile country offices, coordinating program planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Lead the launch and delivery of Cleft Competency Training Pathways, overseeing multi‑day training sessions and logistical arrangements.
• Collect and disseminate best practices, measuring the impact of educational investments and reporting outcomes to the global organization.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with professional, educational, and non‑profit entities to enhance the quality of pediatric surgical care.
• Support existing local cleft centers and regional educational programs, optimizing cross‑border knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in program management within healthcare, medical education, or non‑profit sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work across diverse cultural contexts in Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.
• Strong analytical skills to assess needs, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Willingness to travel regionally as required.
